Hi I've been playing Ukulele for just over a year, I stumbled across it after buying a cheap £12 one from ebay, it was a present for our granddaughter as she was always trying to play my guitars so the the idea was to get her something small enough for her to hold.
When it arrived I decided to try and tune it and see what it sounded like, to my surprise it sounded pretty good, and from that moment I was hooked. I have played guitar for over 20 years but due to a spinal injury I found it too difficult to hold and sit upright, so the little uke was a perfect replacement. With in weeks I was scouring the net for a better one for myself, my wife also got the bug so we went out a bought one each, a
Lanikai C-KC for me and an Ashbury for the wife.
Living in the UK we don't have a great choice of ukuleles so after a while a ordered a lovely Mainland Mahogany Tenor for the USA, I would recommend this Uke to anyone.
